Today is going to be the announce of the Fall Quarter Anime series of 2009.

This quarters anime season… one thing is clear, but they are making way too much fanservice series. I know its the only way of making more money and viewers, but sometimes those shows can be pretty lame, just for show.

So here is the Fall 2009, Sept - Nov.

Darker than Black: Comet of Gemin

Production Group: BONES

Impression: So the first season was pretty intense, like all of BONES work, the animation is really great. Was hoping this series was going to be released a little earlier, but hey its going to be coming out now, so no worries.  Just gonna hope that the story quality doesnt go down.

 A Certain Scientific Railgun

Production Group: JC Staff

Impression: So i watched the spinoff or alternate retelling of this series, which was called A Certain Magical Index. I have no idea if this is a sequel or a spinoff, but either way those characters were introduced in the A Certain magical Index and they were pretty cool, so might as well check it out.

Letter Bee

Production Group: Pierrot

Impression: I have no idea, if this is going to be good, but from what i heard, its a pretty good manga and has a good story. I thought that this was going to be released as an OVA, but perhaps i was wrong. We’ll see

Fairy Tale

Production Group: A-1 Pictures/ Satelight

Impression: the original creator is the same person who did Rave master. I havent really read Fairy Tale, but i hear good things about it, so hopefully it’ll be what i expected.

Kimi no Todoke

Production Group: Production IG

Impression: yeah, needed to have a slice of life anime in there somewhere. So yeah this one is made by the same group that did Honey and Clover and Eden of the east, which were both great series, so hopefully this will be sufficient.

Kobato

Production Group: Madhouse

Impression: so this is originally made by CLAMP, so its somewhat like Chobits and Tsubasa. Not really sure what the story is, but hopefully it’ll be good.

Natsu no Arashi 2

Production Group: SHAFT

Impression: i saw alittle of the first season, i will finish watching the first one before watching this one, but yeah, SHAFT didnt really do a good job on this one in my opinion. Although they do alot of Cameo’s of other SHAFT characters.

Production Group: Dogakobo

Impression: meh, whatever, it just looks interesting.

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu:  Purezza

Production Group: Diomedia

Impression: So the first season was pretty good, so hopefully this second season will be a good one as well.

Jungle Emperor Leo

Production Group: Tezuka Production

Impression: so basically this is the remade version of Jungle Emperor Leo from the late 70’s. It’ll be interesting. I’ll give it a try. Tezuka is great.

The rest of the series, doesn’t really interest me, but i always try to watch every single one, at least the first episode and see what kind of impression they gives me.

Today instead of a Review of an anime series I will be going over the Summer Anime Series that will be airing between june and august. This summer season has some quite interesting series thats coming up, so here i will write down my impression of each of the series, and you guys can determine if you want to see it or not.

    SERIES I WILL WATCH                                                                                                 

Title:  Tokyo Magnitude 8.0

Production Group: BONES

Impression: From reading the description, this title wouldnt have reallly got my attention, but after knowing that the animation studio is BONES (fullmetal alchemist, Eureka Seven) is in charge of this series, I think that I will be giving it a go. BONES studio’s really never let me down on a series before (except the ending of Soul Eater) so i expect some quality anime. 

Title:  Spice and Wolf II

Production Group: Brains Base

Impression: After watching the first season, i actually wanted to see more. The story is very interesting and the characters(especially Horo) are awesome. Interested to know what happens after the first season, I am anticipating good stuff from Brain Base in creating the second season of Spice and Wolf II

Title: Bakemonogatari

Production Group: SHAFT

Impression: The group SHAFT really makes unique OP intro’s which i feel is a very important thing in viewing anime. Bakemonogatari caught my attention after watching the trailer, and i thought i’d give it a chance.

Title: Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

Production Group: SHAFT

Impression: I cannot wait, i’ve been a fan of Zetsubou Sensei from the first season, and they all have been really great. the simplistic animation done by SHAFT and how it looks just like the manga, really attaches onto the viewer. Cant wait to see what Zetsubou sensei will attempt to do to make his life more despair.

     SERIES I MAY WATCH                                                                                                 

Title: Taishou Yakyuu Musume

Production Group: JC STAFF

Impression: JC Staff makes great quality anime series, Baseball really isnt my sport to watch, but the fact that these girls who will be playing baseball has no idea of how to play. So the story seems interesting, so i will give it a shot and see what happens from there.

Title: Sora no Manimani

Production Group: Comet

Impression: The manga is pretty interesting, so when i heard that this was being released as an anime, i thought it may be pretty good, so perhaps i’ll give this a go. alittle bit of slice of life isnt so bad.

Title: Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahou

Production Group: NOMAD

Impression: the only reason i may watch this is simply the art work of the cover is amazing, so if the animation sucks (NOMAD is pretty good so i doubt it) then i may just leave it behind.

Title: Kanamemo

Production Group: Feel

Impression: at first i thought this was made by Kyoto Animation, because the art style was pretty similar to of K-ON and Haruhi. so this series is definetly for audience that like the little relaxing and light feeling slice of life, and thats what i like to watch. So perhaps this will be a good series.

Title: GA Geijutsuka Art Design Class

Production Group: AIC Plus

Impression: first off, i’m an artist, so i’ve seen alot of anime that has art themes to the series, some sucked some were great. So Lets just see how this slice of life art themed anime will suffice me.
